Late-night hotspots in South Beach

April 27, 2014

Not really a morning person? We’re with you. If you think the best way to make the most of a Miami vacation is to stay out all night, come back to your sweet apartment then and sleep the day away on the beach then we’ve got some awesome suggestions for you – read on for our top picks of late-night hangouts:

Eat:If you’re looking for that almost-impossible combination of chic and comfortable, look no further than South Beach staple Yardbird on Lenox Ave. Open until 11pm Sun-Thurs and Midnight at the weekend, it’s an awesome place to fill up on Southern specialities like fried chicken, biscuits, and pork belly.

Listen: If you’re looking for live music, then rock up to Jazid any time before 5am for everything from classic jazz to live reggae, a smooth and sultry atmosphere and $5 Martini nights for ladies!

Drink: If your goal for the night (or the trip – hey, we’re not judging!) is to get well and truly drunk, then get yourself straight to Wet Willies, where the signature cocktail is named Call A Cab. Enough said. They’ve also got lots of other sweet, slushy –  but surprisingly strong – drinks, and a great view of the Ocean from the second floor.

Dance: There are just too many clubs to choose from in South Beach, but if you’re really looking for a dark, sweaty, fist-pumping party in a Miami institution, then head to mega-club Mansion. Drinks are pricey – but you’ll get world-class DJs, half-naked dancers hanging from the roof, and lots and lots of beautiful people shaking it to hardcore beats.
